Responsible sourcing
REPONS selects manufacturers on behalf of buyers. That selection carries responsibility for more than price and lead time. These are the principles applied — stated as expectations REPONS enforces commercially, not as an audited certification scheme, which REPONS does not operate.
Labour
- No forced labour, bonded labour or human trafficking in any part of a supplier's operation.
- No child labour. Workers must meet the legal minimum working age of the country of production.
- Wages, working hours and rest periods at or above the legal minimum in the country of production.
- No discrimination, harassment or abusive disciplinary practice.
Health and safety
- Safe working conditions, functioning emergency exits, fire safety and appropriate protective equipment.
- Safe handling and storage of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Machinery guarding and maintenance appropriate to the production process.
Environment
- Compliance with local environmental law on emissions, effluent and waste.
- Correct handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
- Packaging appropriate to sea or air transport without unnecessary waste, and consolidation used to reduce the number of shipments where the programme allows it.
Product integrity
- Materials and specifications as declared — no undeclared substitution of grade, wall thickness, alloy or component.
- No counterfeit components and no misuse of another party's brand.
- Traceable documentation for the batch actually shipped.
Raising a concern
Anyone — a buyer, a supplier, a worker or a third party — may raise a concern about a REPONS supplier or a REPONS transaction in writing to the procurement desk. Concerns are reviewed, and a supplier may be suspended pending clarification. Contact details are on the contact page.
What REPONS does not claim
REPONS does not claim third-party social-audit certification, a formal ESG rating or an independently verified supply-chain audit programme. Where a buyer requires audited suppliers, that requirement is stated in the enquiry and sourcing is restricted to suppliers who hold the relevant audit.
Questions on this document, or a compliance questionnaire to complete before a requirement is issued? Write to export@reponsglobal.com or use the contact page. REPONS answers buyer due-diligence questionnaires in writing.
