Trade compliance
REPONS operates across multiple origin and destination markets. Compliance is handled per shipment and per destination, because the requirement that applies to a valve going to Senegal is not the requirement that applies to a medical consumable going to Saudi Arabia.
Product classes REPONS does not handle
- Pharmaceuticals and medicinal products.
- Controlled, narcotic or precursor substances.
- Weapons, ammunition, military and dual-use controlled goods.
- Counterfeit goods, or goods offered in breach of a third party's trademark or design rights.
- Any product whose import is prohibited in the destination market.
Sanctions and restricted parties
REPONS does not knowingly transact with a party, vessel, bank or destination subject to applicable sanctions or export-control restrictions. Where a counterparty, destination or end use raises a question, the requirement is paused and clarified before any commitment is made — not after an order is placed.
Destination requirements
- Conformity and pre-shipment verification programmes vary by country and by product; requirements are confirmed for the actual destination before shipment, not assumed.
- Product certification, marking and labelling requirements are treated as part of the specification, not as an afterthought.
- Where a destination requires a registered local importer, that route is established with the buyer before the order is placed.
Documentation
- Commercial invoice and packing list consistent with the purchase order and the shipment.
- Certificate of origin, transport document and insurance certificate according to the agreed Incoterm.
- Product certificates, test reports and any inspection certificate required by the destination.
- HS classification stated, with the buyer's own customs broker able to verify it.
Responsibility
REPONS coordinates the documentation required for the agreed scope. Import clearance, duties, taxes and local registration obligations in the destination country remain with the importer of record unless the contract explicitly places them with REPONS.
