Timber, Wood & Engineered Wood Products

Sawn Timber & Lumber

Sawn timber is a graded commodity, not a generic product. REPONS writes the requirement as species, grade, moisture and dimension, then sources it from mills able to repeat it container after container.

01What we need to quote accurately

A precise enquiry produces comparable offers.

Send whatever you already have. Anything missing becomes one clarification question, not a blocked enquiry.

  • 01Species and whether softwood or hardwood
  • 02Grade and grading rules applied
  • 03Dimensions, lengths and quantity in m³
  • 04Moisture content: green, air-dried or kiln-dried
  • 05Treatment requirement and phytosanitary documentation
  • 06Packing, strapping and container loading requirement
02Procurement notes

Grading rules differ by origin; naming the rule set avoids disputes on arrival.

Kiln-dried and air-dried timber behave differently in construction and furniture use and should never be substituted silently.

Length mix has a direct effect on yield at the buyer's plant, so it belongs in the enquiry rather than the delivery note.
