Sawn Timber & Lumber
Sawn timber is a graded commodity, not a generic product. REPONS writes the requirement as species, grade, moisture and dimension, then sources it from mills able to repeat it container after container.
A precise enquiry produces comparable offers.
Send whatever you already have. Anything missing becomes one clarification question, not a blocked enquiry.
- 01Species and whether softwood or hardwood
- 02Grade and grading rules applied
- 03Dimensions, lengths and quantity in m³
- 04Moisture content: green, air-dried or kiln-dried
- 05Treatment requirement and phytosanitary documentation
- 06Packing, strapping and container loading requirement
Grading rules differ by origin; naming the rule set avoids disputes on arrival.
Kiln-dried and air-dried timber behave differently in construction and furniture use and should never be substituted silently.
Length mix has a direct effect on yield at the buyer's plant, so it belongs in the enquiry rather than the delivery note.
