REPONS sources sawn timber, plywood, MDF, OSB, blockboard, veneer, laminated and treated wood products for importers, contractors and furniture manufacturers. Orders are specified by species or panel type, grade, thickness and panel size, moisture content, glue class and surface finish, with legality documentation for the origin. Grade and moisture content are where the majority of import disputes begin, so both are fixed before ordering and verified before the container is sealed.
Grade and moisture specification
Permitted defects, grade reference and moisture content at loading are agreed in writing, giving the buyer a defensible position if the delivery differs.
Panel and glue class control
Interior, humid or exterior glue class is specified per application, so a panel is not used in a service condition it cannot survive.
Container loading optimisation
Loading plans are requested in both tonnes and cubic metres, because dense timber and light panel product fill a container in completely different ways.
Pre-shipment verification
Grade, dimensions, moisture and packing are verified before sealing, where the order value justifies inspection.
